Paddle Steamer Freshwater
1930's

The paddle steamer "Freshwater" built in 1927 by J.S.Whites of Cowes. 264 tons, 158 ft long she ran a regular service between Lymington and Yarmouth, and took part in the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940. Finished her service in 1959
She had a capacity of 500 with first and second class saloons.
She helped with the evacuation of troops from Dunkirk and was used as a relief or extra vessel after the war.
